After a year of collaboration with five neighborhood associations, we have a clear direction for safety improvements along Hixson Pike from Barton to Fernway. Recent survey data, which saw 1,760 visitors and 591 completed responses, showed that Option B is the community's preferred choice, as it maintains the Dartmouth turn lane. While Option C also saw strong support, we are continuing to refine its details based on specific feedback regarding the stretch between Dartmouth and Fernway.

Public Works is now moving into the implementation phase, starting with pedestrian improvements around Riverview Park and the top-priority sidewalk on Dorchester. As we begin work on the Option B intersection upgrades, Councilwoman Hill and Public Works will remain in dialogue with stakeholders to fine-tune future plans.
